The Stuffed Sandwich is a great place to come for lunch or dinner and have a tasty beer or two to accompany your meal. The Stuffed Sandwich has a nice variety of sandwiches. Their #1 selling cold sandwich is the
Submarine with five different cold cuts and cheese; the #1 selling hot sandwich is the Pastrami Dip. They also sell a lot of Turkey, Roast Beef, Beef Dips and Spaghetti Sandwiches.Their salads are homemade as are their sauces for the dips, BBQ and spaghetti.
Sam Samaniego opened the Stuffed Sandwich in 1976. He had a vision that was ahead of the times. Sam was into beers way before there was an L.A. beer scene. He started out with 35 different beers from around the world (a lot for 1976) and never looked back (now over 700).
Sam and his wife, Marlene, had previously both worked in the beer industry for beer distributors. Between the two of them they have over 60 years of experience in the beer industry. Sam passed away in 2014 and Marlene has continued to run the business – always bringing in new and exciting styles of beers to share with her customers and friends.
The Stuffed Sandwich has nine beers on draft. Each month there is a different theme for the beers. One month may have Porters and Stouts on, then Barleywines, Belgian beers, Surprise breweries, Sours, Holiday beers, etc. They always have a bottled “Beer of the Week” special on sale each week. They also have a nice selection of vintage beers including older Samichlaus, Firestone, North Coast, Anchor Merry Christmas/Happy New Year, Sierra Nevada Celebration and Bigfoot Barleywine Ales, Stone Double Bastard, Anniversary, Old Guardian and Imperial Russian Stout, The Bruery Holiday and Anniversary ales and so much more.
Please note that The Stuffed Sandwich is a sandwich shop that sells a lot of beers. It is not a bar.
Their ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) license states that they cannot sell any beer or wine without a food purchase.
